The contraceptive pill mycrogon 30 . advice . help !?

i have finished taking my 1st ever pack of mycrogon 30 and i am half way through my holiday . i have red that its safe to take the 2nd packet back to back . but my mum is very strict . she does not know i am on the pill and she always asks me when i am due for my period . so can i take the 2nd packet back to back and when iam supposed to be due on . i can take the 7 pill free days then . because that will be in the middle of the 2nd packet . or cant i do that ? x

Follow the instructions on the packet. Either take the pills and then have the 7 day break or do it back to back. Don't just have half a pack and then break. It won't be as effective.


However, I do think that you ought to let your mum know that you are on the pill. If you were taken ill they would need to know any medication that you are on. If you are old enough to be taking the pill then you are old enough to be discussing it with your mum. If it is the fact that you are worried she'll know you are sexually active then tell her the doctor put you on it for period pain. But either way, keep the lines of communication with your mum open. you cannot do that if you are due for a period then you need one its a way of your body cleaning itself you should not stop this or you could get ill and reading what you read is wrong you cant do this.. although there is a form of microgynon that is for everyday use. so this is what you have probably been reading about.. if you don;t want your mum to know then you need your period.. hope this help :)
If you are running two packs together, you don't have any 7 day break. You finish one packet and then start the next packet the following day.


You then have your 7 pill free days at the end of packet 2.





You say you are half way through your holiday... so have you started the second packet already? If you have had more than 12hrs gap, between the end of pack 1 and the beginning of pack 2, then you're too late to start the second packet and will need to continue with your 7 pill free days as normal.





Generally it takes your body about 3 months to get used to taking the hormones, so if you run your first ever pack together with the second, you may experience spotting or break through bleeding.
when i went on holiday, i was due to come on so i asked my doc if it was ok to carry on taking the pill and he basically said it was fine
if you want to do that you have to take the 7 day break at the end of the second pack and not before or you will not be protected and may mess up your cycle
