I found a new place for me to do tap dancing. One of the moves is where u shuffle on the tip of your toes hold it for a while and go back shuffling or whatever the dance routine is. How can I do this whitout having to hold onto something to hold me up? sorry if it sounds confusingTap dancing move need advice/help?
r u talking about toe cramp rolls? if so then first practice holding onto a bar over and over and eventually you will be able to do the move without the bar. good luckTap dancing move need advice/help?
ok im in my 12th year of being a dancer and i dont know what you mean either, but for this certain step that youre talking about, youre probably not strong enough and need to practice. something you can try to make it easier is use the muscles in your legs and core to jump higher.
you have to ingage your abs, and just about every muscle in your body and you will be able to keep up. just squeze your muscles tight and most importantly hold your center! do this and you will be able to do it in no time! tap dancing can be quite diffiuclt so if you can't do it right away, dont be discouraged!! goood luck! :)
Okay, Im a dancer, and have been for 17 years and I have NO idea what youre saying. Be more specific please. Are you flapping and not shuffling? F-lap F-lap F-lap. If youre constantly shuffling, its a shuffle step shuffle step in which case you should have no problem keeping yourself up. Flaps are a half a shuffle that allow you to swap feet without stopping to step before your transition.
It's just like being on pointe. Make sure that you have a strong box in your tap shoes, and that you're holding yourself as if you were on pointe in ballet class.
